Self-portrait of a stingy man

I’m a stingy person and don’t want to waste any paint, and therefore everytime after I’ve done some picture, if I’ve put too much paint on the palette, I’ll try to use it somewhere – either I’ll do something new or I’ll continue some older work that’s not yet finished. Usually those are paintings with which I’m not too strict, and I’ll try to find a way to work with the colours that I happen to have on the palette.

That’s how I started a self-portrait on January, and then when I did my Wanderer above the Sea of Fog I was left with lumps of paint that I had to use before it would dry. And now the picture looks like this:
